Q: What is the best software to use to view the Ramoto Web site?
A: The company who designed our web site (Dorset Networks Ltd) recommend Internet Explorer 5 or better to view the site.
Q: What is the best screen resolution to view the Ramoto Web site?
A: The best resolution is between (1024 x 768) and (1280 x 1024). Scroll down to the tutorials for information how to do this.
Q: When I click the button to get a bike data sheet or 3d picture nothing happens.
A: It may be that you have something that is stopping popup's in Internet Explorer, (such as the Google toolbar.) The site has been designed so that visitors can open several bike data sheets simultaneously without leaving the main page so that they can compare prices and specs etc. To get around this, try disabling the popup software temporarily.
It may also be that client side scripting (sometimes known as Active scripting by some browsers) is disabled on your browser. This can usually be fixed by adding the site URL (http://www.ramoto.com) to the "Trusted Sites" zone in Internet Explorer (see Add Ramoto.com to the trusted sites page in the tutorials section).
Q: I have the google toolbar and when Internet Explorer asks me to install Quicktime nothing happens.
A: The google toolbar blocks internet popups, however in this case the popup window is required to install Apple Quicktime. To temporarily bypass the google toolbar, hold down 'SHIFT' whilst clicking the 3d buttons and when asked to install QuickTime.
Q: The 3d bike images don't appear properly - what can I do?
A: The 3d bike images are special files called Apple Quicktime VR files, and they require the Apple Quicktime player to be installed on the computer to view correctly. To download the Quicktime player, go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime
Q: Sell Your bike page. I try to attach a picture but Internet Explorer won't let me.
A: Internet Explorer contains security options that can block a web page from accessing your local files. This is to prevent malicious use of the technology. Obviously in this case, it is beneficial to allow this so that you can send your bikes photo for Ramoto to assess - to allow this, add Ramoto.com to the trusted sites section (see Add Ramoto.com to the trusted sites page in the tutorials section).
